Ceramic Printing

Here is the Ceramic Printer my partner built a few years ago- I’m extremely fortunate to still have access to new and interesting ways of making even while in Quarantine.

All I need is a G-Code in order to print on this machine so I hope that I’ll be able to slice a mode like I normally would while being cognizant of undercuts everything should work out OKAY!

Ultimaker: Cura is the program I use to generate G-Code for prints. When you upload a model Cura shows the overhangs (or in my case, undercuts) in red which should help me identify any problem areas.

This is the file I chose- I don’t know why I’m like this…

When I brought the model into Netfabb to slice the model I notice that the mesh triangle were pretty prominent on part of the model

MeshLab has a function in it call “Subdivision Surface: Butterfly Subdivision” that does a good job at increasing meshes and smoothing surfaces.
